Zachary (Zach) Walton is a trial lawyer with years of experience fighting for clients and trying cases on both sides of the bar. His track record of timely, efficient, and honest advice to his clients has proven to be an invaluable asset to both insurance carriers and insureds. Zach's practice areas have included bad faith, commercial and business litigation, construction litigation, dog bite, premises liability, litigation, personal injury, products liability, SIU/Arson & Fraud, and insurance coverage. Zach's experience representing plaintiffs has been a proven asset in mediations, and his efficiency and pride in working at a fast pace have led to his success in representing insurance carriers and insureds across North Carolina.

Upon graduating from West Virginia University College of Law in 2016, he moved to Charlotte where he worked as a commercial lease analyst for a small software company while studying for the State Bar. He passed the bar in August of 2016 and began working for a small Plaintiff’s firm in Uptown, Charlotte representing injured persons and trying several jury trials across the state.  In 2019, Zach joined a much larger Charlotte-based personal injury firm, where he represented an immense volume of clients. In 2020, on the first day of the COVID quarantine, he began working for a large regional insurance defense firm, where he excelled at efficient, reliable, and consistent representation of carriers and insureds throughout North Carolina, in and out of the courtroom. He was made partner in that firm for 2024. Zach joined Walker Allen as a partner in the Charlotte office on April 1, 2025.

He was named to North Carolina’s Super Lawyers Rising Stars for Civil Litigation: Defense for 2023, 2024, and 2025, and was named to Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite Young Guns for 2022 and Litigation for 2023, 2024, and 2025. He graduated from the Mecklenburg County Bar Leadership Institute in 2022. Zach spends his time outside of work with his wife Ashley (a licensed BCBA who serves as the Clinical Director of a local clinic for children with autism), his son Henry, and his beagle Ollie. He enjoys being outdoors, hunting, fishing, reading, and going for runs.
