Walker Allen LLP Welcomes Three New Attorneys

Mount Pleasant, South Carolina – Walker Allen LLP is excited to announce the addition of three talented attorneys to its team based in South Carolina. William Zachary (“Zac”) Smith, Heather Chiovaro, and Natali Thomas bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the firm, further strengthening its commitment to providing exceptional legal services to our clients.

Zac joins our General Liability defense group. A native of Georgia and fourth-generation attorney, Zac has deep roots in the legal profession and is dedicated to giving back to the next generation of legal professionals, having served as an adjunct professor while continuing his practice. Now, Zac brings his passion for litigation and conflict resolution to Walker Allen LLP.

Heather joins our General Liability defense group. Heather possesses over a decade of experience defending corporations, homeowners’ associations, and other clients in complex litigation, including product liability, class actions, construction defects, premises liability, and motor vehicle negligence. With a deep understanding of the litigation process, Heather seeks tailored, cost-effective solutions to achieve optimal outcomes for our clients.

Natali joins our General Liability and Professional Negligence practice groups. She defends clients in direct lawsuits and coverage disputes. Notably, Natali was part of the joint defense group defending certain insurers against Purdue Pharma L.P. who sought coverage for opioid-related claims filed against them. Natali is also skilled in resolving complex domestic relations disputes. Her trial-tested approach and proven track record of success ensure that our clients receive aggressive advocacy and optimal results.

Elizabeth McCullough and Dennis Dorsey won summary judgment in a $1.75 million Cumberland County case.  The plaintiff sustained a spiral fracture of her finger, underwent surgery, and when the pins were removed a recommendation for a home exercise program and formal occupational therapy was made by the orthopaedic surgeon.  The plaintiff denied any such recommendation was made and alleged that because OT was not timely ordered, she developed a contracture requiring three more surgeries and […]
