Zac Smith
Zac attended the University of Georgia where he graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in History and Political Science. He was a member of the Nu Zeta Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha and part of the 2004-2005 University of Georgia Football Program. After graduation, he helped start a successful franchise in Charlotte, NC before moving to Charleston to attend the Charleston School of Law.
While attending the Charleston School of Law, he served as a Research Editor of the Charleston Law Review, Executive Editor of the MALABU Maritime Law Journal, President of the Maritime Law Society, the founder and President of The Roosevelt Society for Sportsmanship & Conservation, and he served two full academic terms as a Justice on the Charleston School of Law Honor Council. He earned CALI Awards for Excellence in five Admiralty and Maritime Law courses.
Following the completion of his first year, Zac joined a Mount Pleasant firm as a clerk and advanced through his hard work and dedication to become an associate attorney before moving on to the Qualey Law Firm, where he learned efficiency and efficacy in the practice of law and in conflict resolution. In 2021, Zac returned to his alma mater to serve as an adjunct professor teaching Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing in addition to his law practice. Thereafter, Zac took the next step in his practice in joining Walker Allen Trial Attorneys under the tutelage of the respected and seasoned litigator, Jeff Ammons.
Originally from Jesup, Georgia, Zac is a fourth-generation attorney with close family ties around the Southeast. When he's not working, Zac is an avid outdoorsman where he engages in mountaineering, hiking, fly fishing, backcountry hunting, and skiing. He also serves on the FishBear Outfitters Pro Staff Team based out of Haines, Alaska. He is a voracious reader and loves spending time in the kitchen. Zac is a passionate supporter of his alma maters and serves as a mentor and counselor for younger generations.
