Jacob R. Stump
Jake’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury litigation. He strives to provide excellent service and counsel to his clients, and he has had the opportunity to successfully defend physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, hospitals, practice groups, and nursing homes in a multitude of cases involving a variety of medical specialties. His clients rely on his judgment and ability to successfully provide guidance through various types of legal issues, ranging from regulatory hearings to jury trials. Years of legal experience give Jake tremendous understanding on how to best assist clients when defending medical malpractice and nursing home litigation, medical device liability cases, and general personal injury litigation. He has represented hundreds of clients in both state and federal courts located in North Carolina and Florida, resulting in favorable outcomes in a variety of cases.
When Jake is not working, he enjoys reading, golf, coaching youth sports, and, most importantly, spending time with his wife and two children. He is a member of Carmel Baptist Church in Matthews, NC.
